I would like to have said witnessed…but you can’t witness a still image, because it isn’t happening. Its calm. Anyways. You can see the acceptance and heart break in the mouses eyes. But the understanding that this is how things are and that’s fine. and the mutual respect in the snake’s eyes. Respect for the role this rat plays in his life. The most important one. Also the same understanding of things being as they should. The power of nature blows me away. Its so precious and utopian in a way.  that’s the most pretentious thing i’ve ever read
